LeakWise is designed to analyze store performance while minimizing data collection. We only store the non-PII financial and product data needed to calculate estimated margin leakage, generate reports, and keep your account working.

How we use data

To calculate estimated leakage and profit impact
To generate dashboards, exports, and weekly reports
To detect sync issues, stale data, and configuration problems
To manage billing, support, and app access

What we store

Product titles, SKUs, prices, and inventory values
Order totals, discounts, refunds, and shipping amounts
Configured shipping and margin assumptions
Insight, sync, billing, and report status for your store
Your support email if you contact us through the app
Your email address if you enable the weekly profit leak report

What we do not store

Customer names, emails, or phone numbers
Shipping or billing addresses
Payment card details or account credentials
Raw API payloads or personal customer identifiers

Who we share data with

We use service providers to run the app. That includes hosting, database, and email delivery services needed to operate LeakWise.

Railway for hosting and deployment
PostgreSQL via Prisma for app data storage
Resend for sending app emails and weekly reports

Retention and deletion

We keep app data only while your store uses LeakWise and for as long as needed to provide support, billing records, and reporting history. When you uninstall the app, we remove the connected store's operational data from the app as required and process manual deletion requests through support.

Security

We use encrypted transport and access controls to protect app data in transit and at rest. No security measure is perfect, but we aim to keep the app safe and limit access to what is necessary.

Data deletion

Uninstalling LeakWise removes the app from your store. If you need a manual deletion request, contact support through the app or email support@leakwise.app.
